Most Important Tip: Avoid Hookup Dating Scams & Fraud Sites
Hookup dating is a HUGE business. It’s estimated that about 50 million Americans use dating sites, which brings in annual revenue of over a BILLION dollars.
For scammers, this is basically a godsend. All they need to do is build a legit-looking site, get a few thousand guys to throw down 20 bucks, and they’ve made themselves a ridiculously huge profit. Even if they only get one 100th of a percent of all the guys out there, that’s still THOUSANDS of guys who are duped into going along with their schemes.
There’s a lot of money in scamming.
Because there’s so much money in scamming, scammers have a lot of reason to keep doing what they’re doing. Don’t be surprised if you go to one of the sites on our “scam” list and find nothing there. These scammers set up defunct sites, get as much money as they can out of them, then move on again as quickly as possible so they don’t get caught.
So how do you avoid scammers?
The easiest way to get away from a scam site is by going to one of our top three recommended sites instead. Sites like SocialSex, Xpress.com, and AdultFriendFinder are some of the best you can possibly come across for keeping you scam free.
Some things you will 100 percent NOT find on our top three sites:
- Fake Profiles
- Fake messages
- A website with terrible customer support
- A fake website
These are things you’re almost guaranteed to find on a scam site. By sticking to big, well-run sites, you ditch the worst of the bunch and make sure you don’t get ripped off.
Look out for perfect women.
If a girl is a perfect 10, be VERY careful about trusting her profile. While the sites that we love are not scams, it’s almost impossible for sites to get rid of all the women who might use them for scamming.
Most of the women on hookup sites are 7s on a good day. You can see occasional 8s and 9s, but remember that these are sites for women who want a quick, fast lay, and don’t think they can just go to a bar and get it. You’re not going to find a supermodel on here—which is probably good, since supermodels are kind of hard to please in bed (as if we’d know).
LOOK OUT FOR WOMEN SCAMMERS.
These are women who use totally legit sites, including great sites like SocialSex, to try and scam dudes out of their hard-earned cash. You can report them, but even the site can’t stop them from making a new profile with another username, or from just moving on to another site to try again with other dudes.
Here’s a really simple rule of thumb that will make sure you never get scammed by a girl online:
Never send money to someone you meet on a dating site.
That’s it. That’s all you need to know. It’s REALLY that simple. We don’t care if they are really pretty or have a sick kid or want to come see you, and neither should you. It’s a scam, move on.
